If you're like me, winter rolls around and I'm kind of at a loss for what to wear. It's too darn cold for most of the stuff that I love to wear. Let's be honest, they don't make clothes for women that are actually warm. That's a rant for another day though. This was the first year that I really discovered a palate of colors that work for me and that I love. It just so happens that this year a bunch of these colors are easily available. Check out some of my favorite outfits! (some are affiliate links). Some of these I have and some of them I'm hoping to pick up soon.
This Dress!!!
Super comfortable t-shirt like fabric with pockets! Seriously it's one of my staples right now. I love this red color too. I've worn it with a belt to work and like in the picture with the pearls and earrings to church or on Christmas.
This is an outfit that I've been drooling over and might just use my spending money budget on this month. I've heard that the jeans are amazing! The shoes I do have and I love the fact that they add just that little bit of sparkle to my outfit without it going totally over the top.
Last but not least, I'm thinking about adding these last couple of things to fill out and mix things up. Usually I tell my husband that yellow is NEVER my color, except for this one exact shade that is really hard to find. Well this year apparently Target and a few other stores have made that yellow popular. It was a color that up until now I've hated with the fire of a thousand suns but it looks like this year it's changed my mind. Here are a couple of Amazon finds that were pretty close to what I was able to get.
I always love amazon because it's super easy to return, it arrives in 2-3 days and usually it has the extra added features that I love like pockets. Let's be honest, this mom isn't leaving the house without pockets, even in a formal dress. The belt works great (I already have it in black) and I've been dying to try this tunic since this 5'10" girl needs something that covers my rear in this world of skinny jeans and leggings. Just keep in mind, with amazon you always have to watch the sizing pretty closely and the more positive reviews the better. If you get any of them, comment and let me know. I'd love to
