Today marks a day when many women respond to the many nasty comments that our now current president has made in regards to women. I was proud at first to see that women were going to stand up and peacefully be heard, making it known that it's not okay for him to say and do what he did. But as we drew closer I was sickened. You see the people organizing these events have been welcoming many different women's groups, encouraging more and more women to participate. It was exciting to see how all-encompassing it was going to be, until it happened. You see they want all women, except the ones that they (the organizers) disagree with. They have rescinded their open hands to groups that are pro-life. Now, they have rejected millions of women in this country. And now, the march for all women, their rights and beliefs, and their ability to be heard in this venue is now gone. I makes me angry enough to speak today when I've stayed away from online debate until now. There is much debate about the rights of those women in the womb, but even that aside, they've thrown out the many women who are pro-life. That's a huge number of us ladies. They are discriminating based off of beliefs. They want us to be quiet about this, to shut up, the same thing that women have been told for centuries to do with their opinions. Every time they do this it sets us back so far. The organizers of this march have let a difference of opinion divide us. To the organizers I say that you have let the weakness of women destroy our unity and the beauty of the feminine genius. Too often we women allow disagreements to destroy our friendships. To you I say that I will sit here in my corner, praying for you. I will still advocate for women and fight for true feminism, but I won't stand with you if you are not welcoming all women. But we will march, next week. It's this thing called the March for Life, something ignored by the world around, yet draws HUNDREDS of thousands every year to DC and even more in the local cities. So today we many not be heard, but I encourage other women to continue to speak up, just not through this march today.
